Budget Miniatures Part 2 Bags O Zombies

Long before Bella and Edward made Stephanie Myers millions Twilight Creations was bringing us Zombies!!!

ZOMBIES!!! Board Game 2nd Edition

It’s a great little Beer and Pretzels board game where you and your friends race to be the only survivor of a Zombie Attack, while feeding your friends to the Zombies to help make your escape. Why we’re talking about it is that they pioneered Bags O’ Zombies. The base game itself comes with 10o zombies and 5 survivor models, and sometimes that just isn’t enough, so they sell zombies by the bags of 100 !!

Bag O’ Zombies

Sure there is only a single pose, and they are more of a 25mm or 28mm truescale, but they are about 10 cents each.

Bags of 100 retail for $9.99. They sold so well that they continued this practice with most of their later zombie releases as well.

Female Zombies

Female zombies were soon to follow. 100 per bag, $9.99, still a single sculpt, but a more a more detailed sculpt.

I don’t know about you, but it’s hard to go wrong with 200 zombies for $20.

A later expansion added new rules and a new miniature for Zombie Dogs.

$9.99 for 100

Zombie Clowns

Then came the clowns. Same scale, beefier sculpt, twice the creepy, twice as expensive !

Zombie Clowns 50 for $9.99

That’s all the Bags O’ Zombies Twilight makes at the moment, but not all the inexpensive zombies they make. I’ll cover those in my next update.

Budget Miniatures Part 1 Zombies

The Zombie Apocalypse feature unending waves of Zombies, which can be tough on you gaming budget, here are some alternatives:

Zombie Planet

Zombie Planet

These figures were found in Vending machines all over in 2012. I bought mine on Amazon, but you can find them on Ebay, and in bulk from Vending Machine websites.

The old man on the bottom left is sitting down, and the cheerleader needs to be based to keep her standing up, but they are pretty characterful and come painted. I personally wouldn’t use them in bulk, but adding set of them adds variety, at less than a $1 a figure.

Zombicide Survivor Adam

Adam

“Gruff” Miniature by Hasslefree

Took a stab at making a custom Zombicide Survivor. He has some useful skills but ZERO combat related upgrades. If you try him out in your Zombicide games I’d love to hear feedback on him.
